Lee Jung Hyun Fanmade Revival Album
Lee Jung Hyun was an early K-pop artist that was known for doing eurodance and “techno” music. She is one of the first K-pop stars to gain international fame. Her signature move was using the microphone on her pinky finger so she always has her pinky pointing to her mouth. Another theme she is known for is the theme of change, which is also the name of one of her most famous songs- “Bakkwo” (change). To represent this, I added the theme of butterfly to the branding of this fictional revival. I’ve made an album cover, website layout, poster, and motion graphic to advertise this.

One Man's Trash
I drew visual inspiration from many sources. My main idea for drawing visuals was borrowed from the Merz collage by Kurt Schwitters. I was really struck by the German Dada art movement in the early 1910's, it was chaotic and purposefully imperfect. I felt that the ideas from the Dada art movement fit very well with the concepts of "one man's trash is another man's treasure", since Dada was all about taking disposable materials such as trash and making something out of it, creating critical commentary on the high-art world.

Typespec
This is the Typespec project I had to complete for my typography course, where I had to choose a font and design a booklet around it. I chose Baskerville for this assignment it has a lot of history behind it. It's also a font available pre-installed on most computers such as Macintosh. I used the regular, bold, semibold, and italics versions to create all the type used in this entire book. The following are the most notable spreads in my book:

In an alternate earth, the city and outskirts are divided by a large dome that protects the bustling metropolis. Inside of the city lives a disgruntled young scientist who is tasked with leaving the city to conduct research on the lack of marine wildlife. This event sparks a butterfly effect of the protagonist being tied up in a situation regarding a government secret and realizing what atrocities and injustice the authorities are enacting to the people on the outskirts.
Pitch Bible
A "pitch bible" contrary to the name, has nothing to do with the teachings of holy Jesus. For those not in the animation, movies, and comics world, a pitch bible is a document that outlines the plot, characters, and other details for your idea you want to pitch to a studio so it can become an actual cartoon/comic, etc. Mine is about a comic book, which is far more detailed than a cartoon pitch bible. The version shown is designed for print, but they don't need to be printed and can simply be a PDF document.
Luftballons is a concept I've made in GD3 for the course. I wanted to create a product I would want to use, and make a fantastical twist on it.
Luftballons Gum is a gum brand that creates bubblegum so stretchy, it can make you fly. It also comes in a ton of weird flavors, since I noticed chewing gum nowadays is only ever in mint and sometimes watermelon or bubblegum flavor.
Throughout the visual language, I wanted a throwback to the 50's era of comics and design. The mascot character is based on the style you'd often see from funny animal comics of the 50's (which were just as popular as superhero comics at the time) and putting a modern twist on it. There are lots of screen tones and bubbly, cartoony letters, as well as primary colors that would catch the eye of a child.

Animations
I've compiled all the animations I've made in my Animation 1 course into a single demo reel. I already knew how to animate, so I was a bit ahead compared to the other students. The animations range from simple to complex, two of them being lipsynch tests.
